When my career brought me to Miami in 2008 and I found Ellie, I knew I had found the perfect place to get back in the saddle. Ellie has an integrity with horses that is built on the principles of classical dressage, good horsemanship, and hard work. She relates people to horses with an ease and effectiveness that makes learning fun, eye-opening, and successful.
Because I don't have a horse (yet!) I ride Ellie's school horses. They are truly special creatures. I almost feel like one can't call them "school horses." Since they are in training with her, they stay sharp, light and never burnt out. The consistency in their work, along with Ellie's close relationship with them, provides the ideal situation for a student really looking to understand and assimilate the training process.
Like a lot of people, my profession is very demanding. My weekly schedule is always different, and I'm sporadically out of town for a week or even a month. When I was first looking for a trainer, I was doubtful I would find one at this level who was not firm about a regular time commitment. Ellie's been incredible; she is completely understanding and has always been flexible.
Ellie has a great thing going at Galloway's Farm... the evidence is in the success and happiness of all of Galloway's clients and horses!
