Whenever I would come visit my family in South Florida I would stop in Spectrum Saddle Shop for my horse PF Flyer, who I kept in Long Island, NY at that time. It was during one of these shopping sessions that I met Ellie Scofield. From then on, whenever I was in town visiting I would take an occasional lesson with Ellie. After an entire season of lessons and when I became an official snowbird in 2001, I made the choice to bring my horse from Long Island to be cared for and trained by Ellie. It was, and still is, the best decision I have ever made. Through Ellie’s tutelage, I have truly learned the art of horsemanship. For the past 7 years, although I remain a snowbird, I never felt a single moments worry. I know that my horse, PF Flyer, has the best care and training available to any horse on this planet. It has been an amazing adventure, and I look forward to each and every day with Ellie. Ellie knows PF’s personality and trains both of us to our best advantage. Her individualized attention to each of the horses and riders in her care is outstanding and a thrill to watch. I benefit so much, not only from my training, but watching her personalized training with her other riders and horses. For the past 8 years I have watched the riders around me progress and excel, as well as new riders join and feel extremely welcomed and embraced by our safe, instructive and friendly environment. Ken and Ellie have truly created an amazing environment at their farm, in which both PF Flyer and I feel comfortable and at home.
