v Winter 2007

o Arabian Celebration at Canterbury Showplace, Newberry, FL – April 7-8 – Our second Arabian show of the season and a good warm-up for Region XII Championships. This was the first recognized show for the new pair of Rebecca Schneider and Khadett. They showed in Sport Horse division as well as Training Level AOTR. 1^st place in ½ Arab Sport Horse Under Saddle JTR, and several placings in the training level division. SRF Dawns Quinela owned and shown by Amanda Portelli – 3^rd and 4^th (with scores averaging 75!) in Sport Horse Purebred Mares Open and ATH. Amanda also showed in Sport Horse Under Saddle for the first time and also showed in the Training Level AOTR divisions. SH Testarosa +// owned and shown by Suzie Cook placed 3^rd in the Sport Horse Show Hack Purebred ATR. Ellie riding SRF Dawns Quinela – 2^nd place in 1^st level Test 1, 1^st place in Training Level Test 4. Ellie riding SH Testarosa +// - 4^th Level Championship, 1^st place 4^th Level Test 2, 3^rd place 4^th Level Test 3, 1^st Place Sport Horse Show Hack Purebred Open.

o GCDA Opener Revisited, Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, West Palm Beach, FL – February 16-18 – Cold, Windy & Rainy!!! Pretty much the only horses at the show that weren’t warmbloods or classical dressage types. We were 3 of the top 6 (1^st, 3^rd and 5^th) in Training Level Test 4 Open with 13 horses in the class. Ideal owned and ridden by Alison Pandoff – 2^nd place Training Level Test 1 Open (62.609%), 5^th place Training Level Test 1 AA/Jr, 4^th place Training Level 2 Open (61.786%) Training Level Test 4 Open/AA/Jr Qualifier 3^rd place (65.600%), Ellie riding Ideal for the his debut at 1^st Level – 1^st level Test 4 – 4^th place (62.368%), 1^st Level test 3 – 2^nd place (57.714%). FEF Incantation owned and ridden by Lauren Friedland Training Level Test 4 Open/AA/Jr Qualifier 1^st place (68.000%), Training Level Test 1 Open 5^th place, Training Level Test 1 AA/Jr 4^th place (61.379%), Training Level Test 2 Open 3^rd place (65.00%)- SRF Dawns Quinela owned and ridden by Amanda Portelli 5^th place Intro A, 3^rd place Intro B. Ellie riding SRF Dawns Quinela Training Level Test 4 Open 5^th place (65.200%)

v Fall 2006 Results

o AHAF Thanksgiving Show, Tampa, FL – November 22-25 – A verrry! Successful week for Galloways Farm. Many championships and reserve championships and most important – GREAT RIDING! I will update with the details soon but check out all the great photos (provided by Deirdre Friedland). Page 1 Page 2

o GCDA Fall USDF Show – A big weekend at the new Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Palm Beach. We love the new facility and we are thrilled GCDA will be hosting most of their shows at this beautiful and well-designed show grounds. Lots of great rides and a new addition to the group – Joe Mora and his mare Cabalista’s Figment (Noodle) showing at their first open USDF show. We participated in the “Team” competition and placed second and had an absolute blast in the award ceremony. Don’t say our folks don’t like a good victory gallop! Alison Pandoff and Lauren Friedland showed great in Training Level getting more experience with scores through the mid 60’s. Lauren won the Training 1 AA/JR/YR with a score of 63.182% (8 riders in the class). Ellie rode Alison’s Haflinger Ideal at 1^st Level for the first time and was 5^th with a 63.704% (10 riders in the class). Many other ribbons for everyone including Amanda Portelli/SRF Dawns Quinela and Ellie/SH Testarosa.

o October PHA Show – Halloween Show! Amanda Portelli (an angel)/SRF Dawns Quinela getting more experience at Intro Level with 2^nd in Intro A, 1^st in Intro B. Danielle Leoce (American Indian)/PF Flyer – in her very first dressage show, learning the ropes and having a good time with 4^th in both Intro A & B. Lauren Friedland (Luau Theme)/FEF Incantation – Perfecting their training level test riding - winning the Training Level Championship. Linda Silecchia (50’s Theme)/Haziz Sultan – Getting experience and more comfortable in the show ring – Training Level Reserve Championship. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Alison Pandoff (My Little Pony)/Ideal were unable to show but did have a great costume prepared for the show.

o October 1 GCDA Dressage Schooling Show, Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, Palm Beach, FL So the season has really started for everyone now and we had 6 horses going to this show! We love the new facility for Gold Coast and the show was very well attended running two full rings for the day. Highlights included Linda Silecchia and Haziz Sultan getting into the show ring at Training Level for the first time, Junior Riders Lauren Friedland/FEF Incantation & Alison Pandoff/Ideal showing successfully with scores from 60 – 65% (1 2^nd, 2 3^rds, 1 4^th) and, Ellie & Haziz Sultan getting a 67% (3^rd) and Amanda Portelli/SRF Dawns Quinela (3^rd & 4^th) improving on their first show under saddle by adding energy and impulsion. SH Testarosa and Ellie headed into the ring for the PSG placing 2^nd and Suzie’s Baby – Galloways Dark Knight made the trip for schooling though he didn’t show.

o September 24 PHA Dressage Schooling Show – Lauren Friedland/FEF Incantation were Training Level Champions scoring over 70%.. Reserve Champion right behind Lauren was Katherine Graman’s Star Spangled Sommer ridden by Ellie showing a tremendous amount of improvement over last spring. Amanda Portelli/SRF Dawns Quinela made their debut under saddle at Intro Level placing well with a couple of 2^nd places and scores over 65%!

v Winter & Spring 2006 Results

o May 20 – 21 GCDA May Show, Wellington, FL After all the work we put in to get to Regionals this year, we really had to pull it back together to get ready for this show. The team for this open USDF show was a bit different than Regionals with new student Allison Pandoff and her horse Ideal (Haflinger) as well as Johanne Marcoux this time on her own horse Charlie (TB). The competition was tough and everyone was moving up a level. No more Intro for the Junior Riders from our farm. Both Allison and Lauren F. moved up to Training Level with excellent results and comments. Scores were all in the 60’s with Allison and Ideal getting a 64% to place 5^th in Training 1 and got a 62% in Training 2. Johanne and Charlie also got great scores getting a 61% in TR1, 63% in TR 2 (5^th), 59% in TR 3 (3^rd), and a 58% in TR 4 (6^th). Lauren and FEF Incantation received a 62% in TR 1 and 61% in TR 2 and won the Intro A (last Intro ever!) with a 62.5% and rode it from memory! Ellie & SH Testarosa scored a 60% in 4^th 2 to place 1^st, 61% in 4^th 1 to place 4^th, 57% to get a 6^th place in some tough company at 4-3. We have to thank Suzie Cook for reading all of the tests like a PRO even though she was the show manager. She made time to help us out and it was a life saver!

o April 15 – 16 AHAF Spring Fling, Tampa, FL Checking Results.

o Mar 25 GCDA Schooling Show, Wellington, FL Checking Results

o Mar 18 – 19 Ocala Arabian Show, Ocala, FL Despite the disappointment of unrideable/unsafe footing in the dressage arena and having to scratch the horses out of nearly all of the dressage classes, this was still another successful show for the Galloways Team. We were able to compete in the Sport Horse classes as these were held in the covered arena. Ellie & SH Testarosa won both the Sport Horse Show Hack Open and the English Show Hack Open. Linda Selecchia and Haziz Sultan made there debut in the dressage arena with no problems. Ellie and Sultan won their first training level dressage class and placed second in the other. As the footing got worse we scratched all of horses out of the dressage arena (along with a substantial amount of other entrants). FEF Incantation and Lauren Friedland got more practice in the Main Ring winning ribbons in both Pleasure and Equitation including 4^th in the Walk Trot Pleasure Championship and 4^th also in the Walk Trot Equitation Championship. FEF Incantation and Ellie made there debut in the Sport Horse Under Saddle class coming in 2^nd out of 13 horses. It was disappointing not to get more dressage rides in at this show but we did have a great time and Linda’s niece helped out and served as our groom for the whole weekend.

o Jan 20 – 22 Gold Coast Dressage Assoc. (GCDA) Opener (CDI***), Equestrian Estates, Loxahatchee, FL We made our mark at one of the biggest USDF Recognized shows of the year. The only three Arabians or arabian crosses at the show among some of the best horses in the country. Some of our highlights included FEF Incantation and Lauren Friedland (our youngest Team Member at 10 years old!) was 1^st or 2^nd in almost all of her classes with scores in the high 60’s to 72%!. Muriel Robinson and Khadett in their first USDF show with plenty of 2^nd and 3^rd place scores that ranged from 62.8% to 63.5%. Very proud of them both – they probably have come the farthest as a horse/rider team. Ellie & Khadett showed the judges what an Arabian cross can do by scoring 65.455% and 67.692% in two of their training level classes, placing 4^th in both. SH Testarosa was entered but turned out to have a very sore back so was scratched part way through the show. Doing fine now but we have to be careful and keep our horses in great condition.

v Fall 2005 Results

o November 21 – 25 AHAF Annual Thanksgiving, Tampa, FL – A full Galloways Farm Team shows up and shows well in Tampa! Lots of Championships and Blue Ribbons! Thank you for all your help Suzie Cook and Sally Struss, keeping us going from ring to ring.

1. SH Testarosa – 4^th Level Championship (65% at 4-3!), Winner of Sport Horse Show Hack Open, 4th with Owner Suzie Cook in her first ever Show Hack ATR, English Show Hack Open Champion in Main Ring, 3^rd in Prix St George with a 59.75%. Congrats to Open Rider/Trainer Ellie Scofield and Owner/Rider Suzie Cook.

2. Khadett – Training Level Championship, High Point Reserve Champion (73% in Training Level 4), Winner in HA Sport Horse Under Saddle Open, 2^nd and 4^th with Owner Muriel Robinson in Intro A & B. Congrats to Open Rider/Trainer Ellie Scofield and Owner/Rider Muriel Robinson.

3. FEF Incantation – 74% Intro B with Junior Owner/Rider Lauren Friedland. Junior High Point Champion. Placed in WT Hunt Seat Equitation and Championship. Congratulations to Rider/Owner Lauren Friedland and support team, Mom – Deirdre Friedland.

4. HH Emir’s Dream – Several Placings in Training Level JTR at second recognized show ever for Junior Rider Jen Wilde. Thirteen & Under Championship – 5^th Place. Congratulations to Rider Jen Wilde and a big Congratulations and Thank You to Owner Sara Turpel.

5. Galloways Dark Knight – First recognized show for the “baby”. 65% in Training Level 3 Open, 60% Training Level 1 Open. Congratulations to Rider Ellie Scofield & Owner Suzie Cook.

o Sept 4-5 Fall Festival, Newberry, FL–Warmup for fall show season. Thank you for all the support from the Wilde Family, Linda Silecchia, Suzie Cook, and Katie Lovett. Look at the ribbons we came home with this time!

1. SH Testarosa – 2^nd Place Prix St. George, 1^st Place Sport Horse Purebred Show Hack, 1^st Place English Purebred Show Hack. Congratulations to Rider Ellie Scofield & Owner Suzie Cook.

2. Haziz Sultan – First dressage show with Galloways Farm! Training Level Champion, 1^st Place Training 1 Open, 1^st Place Training 2 Open, 2^nd Place Sport Horse Purebred Geldings In Hand AOTH, 4^th Place Sport Horse Under Saddle Open. Congratulations to Rider Ellie Scofield & Handler/Owner Linda Silecchia.

3. HH Emir’s Dream – First dressage show with Galloways Farm (ridden by Junior). Competed in Training Level JTR winning a 2^nd place and 6^th place ribbons. 1^st Place Hunt Seat Medal (17 and under). Congratulations to Rider Jennifer Wilde at her first Recognized Horse Show and a big Thank You to Owner Sara Turpel.
