I have been riding since I was 6 years old (yes, I am 21 now). Before I found Ellie at the age of 12, I rode at several different barns, garnering experience that made me so thankful for the clear, quick-fix free instruction I have been receiving for the past decade. Ellie’s instruction is rooted in good technique and strikes a beautiful balance. She tailors rigorous lessons to each of her students, paying close attention to their personal goals and needs as riders. In my case, Ellie provided the tools to fulfill my wish to pursue my passion for dressage at the collegiate level at Wake Forest University. I could not be more thrilled.
But it doesn’t stop there. Despite the 800 miles between Winston-Salem and Coral Springs, Ellie has made her knowledge available to me at school, even providing this busy student with occasional instruction via Facebook chat. I really don’t think I could better illustrate her dedication to her students’ progress. Needless to say you can find me at Galloways during my welcome breaks from college.
Ellie’s instruction continues to foster the growth of not only my riding, but my all-inclusive knowledge of horsemanship. Her willingness to share her extensive knowledge and experience has made me more confident and knowledgeable about the horses I adore both on their backs and off of them.
Finally, there is truly no better illustration of her professionalism than Galloways Farm itself. The beautiful barn Ellie and Ken have created and the healthy, happy horses in it embody Ellie’s dedication to her art. Go pay Babe and Bailey, Ellie’s lovely school horses, a visit and see for yourself. It is one of the best stops I’ve ever made.
